  1. For warranty service at a Service Centre or at Samsonite’s own direct shops in Hong Kong and Macau, you will need to present the duly completed warranty certificate and the original receipt of purchase (only receipts issued by Samsonite’s own direct shops or authorized dealer shops will be accepted). We regret that we do not provide warranty and repair services to products (even genuine items) purchased from stores other than Samsonite’s direct shops or authorized distributors.
  2. The warranty period is stated on the warranty card enclosed inside the product and/or in the list of product features on our website.
  3. Samsonite products must be serviced only through an approved Samsonite Authorized Repair Centre (“Repair Centre”) for warranty repairs. Repairs performed by anyone other than an Authorized Repair Agent will void the warranty.
  4. The purpose of the repair service is to restore the product to its normal functionality, but it does not guarantee restoration of its original appearance, the use of original spare parts or the availability of spare part in the same colour especially for the products purchased outside of Hong Kong or for products that are obsolete or discontinued. You authorize Samsonite to fully exercise its discretion in using alternative spare parts (if available, including parts of another brand) to repair your Product.
  5. The warranty provided herein is limited to the value of the Product at the time of purchase.
  6. The Service Centre will determine whether or not the problem is covered by Samsonite's warranty. If the warranty applies, you will be notified as to whether the Product will be repaired or replaced.
    1. Replacement will be made on a one-for-one basis with the same brand and the warranty period of the replacement unit will follow the original Product and will not be renewed.
    2. If the Product is to be replaced and the Product is no longer available, Samsonite will substitute a product similar in value (based on the original price actually paid). If you paid for your product in a foreign currency, the Product’s value will be calculated based on the exchange rate on the date of replacement. Samsonite will not be responsible for your loss due to currency exchange/fluctuations.
  7. If our Service Centre determines that the Product is not covered under warranty, any agreed repair or associated freight costs shall be borne by you (the owner).
  8. Product specifications are subject to change without prior notice.
  9. Please inspect the Product immediately after it has been handled by someone else. If damaged occurs during transit, you must submit a claim to the transit company (which insured your product against damage), such as the airline, immediately upon arriving at your destination, preferably before customs clearance. The transit company (e.g. Airline) is responsible for the damage to your luggage or backpack during transport or at the airport.
  10. The Product locks are intended to prevent accidental opening only and cannot guarantee the prevention of theft of the product or its contents, damage, or unauthorized access by airline/airport staff or governmental authorities.
  11. Please do not leave any personal belongings inside the items sent for repair. Samsonite will not be responsible for their safekeeping nor for any loss, damage, or compensation related to those items.
  12. Under all circumstances, while the Product is under repair and in Samsonite’s custody, Samsonite’s liability shall be limited solely to the cost of repair or replacement of the affected Product. Samsonite shall not, under any circumstances, be liable for any other losses or damage you may incur, including any indirect or consequential damage.
  13. Samsonite will notify you once the repair is completed and will retain the repaired item for 7 working days (working days in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region) for collection. If the item is not collected within the deadline, it will be sent back to the warehouse, and Samsonite reserves the right to charge you for any associated storage and transportation fees. If the item remains uncollected for 30 calendar days after completion of repair, Samsonite reserves the right to consider it as abandoned and dispose of it without further notice. Samsonite will not be liable for any loss or damages related to such abandoned items.
